A Georgia native, mom of four, and national education leader with a personal stake in Henry County's future. I'm running because every child in this community deserves a board member who will fight for them with real expertise and real heart.
I'm Jessica Williams: mom of four and education leader. Every decision I have made in my career comes back to one question: what is best for the students?
A Georgia native, I earned my B.S. in Biology from Spelman College before going on to Princeton University for my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. I know firsthand the power of exceptional education to transform a life, and I want every child in Henry County to have that same opportunity.
I've spent 15 years leading national education reform, helping hundreds of institutions improve student outcomes, strengthen teaching and learning, and build systems where every student can thrive regardless of their background.
Henry County Schools has real momentum. A five-year strategic plan is in motion, a new STEM High School opens in 2027, and this community has made clear it believes all children can learn at or above grade level. The foundation is strong. Now we need board leadership with the expertise to see it through and the commitment to make sure no child is left behind in the process.
I'm not a career politician. I'm a mom, a researcher, and an education leader. All in for Henry County's kids.
Every decision I make on the board will start with one question: what is best for the children of Henry County? Henry County Schools has built a strong strategic foundation. My job is to help finish the work.
STEM is personal to me. My scientific training shapes how I approach every problem. I will champion our new STEM High School opening in 2027 and work to expand access to STEM, coding, robotics, financial literacy, and career-oriented learning for every student in this district so they graduate ready for what comes next.
I believe what Henry County's strategic plan says: all children can learn at or above grade level. That is not a slogan, it is a standard. I will hold the district accountable to advancing literacy, readiness to learn, and college and career readiness for every student group, with a particular focus on students who have historically been underserved.
Great outcomes require great teachers and strong support systems. I will advocate for competitive teacher compensation, effective leadership development, and expanded student wellness and mental health resources. When students feel safe, supported, and seen, they learn better. That is not optional, it is essential.
A $596 million budget is a public trust. I will bring the same financial discipline I have applied managing $100M+ in education funding to ensure every dollar Henry County spends is tied to student outcomes. Responsible stewardship means making sure every dollar is tied to student outcomes.
